TLVH High Volume Spay/Neuter Program Criteria.
Please review the following criteria to determine if your pet is eligible for surgery before contacting us:
- Healthy Cats and Dogs between the ages of 4 months and 6 years of age.
- Brachycephalic breed dogs (bulldogs, pugs etc.) will need to come in for a pre-surgical examination prior to the surgical date for the DVM to determine if the pet is eligible for surgery.
- We have the right to deem any patient as ineligible for surgery based on physical exam findings and medical history.
- What makes my pet ineligible for surgery? Pets under 4 months of age, or over 6 years of age. The presence of heart murmurs, a history of seizures, or any other serious medical conditions. Very overweight or very underweight for species and breed. Dogs and cats currently in heat, pregnant or nursing, and abdominal cryptorchid. Animals presenting severe aggression.
Important Information:
- Additional charges may be added at discharge due to surgical complications or findings.
- Procedure and pick-up are on the same day
- Fees include: Pre-Surgical Exam (will be done the morning of surgery, except brachycephalic breeds),Sedation, Anesthetic, Surgical Procedure A Cone, and Pain Management (both initial dose in hospital, and two additional take-home oral doses)
- Additional Fees: Microchip implantation ($75 +Hst), optional pre-anesthetic bloodwork (requires a separate appointment prior to surgery day),optional vaccinations, and any additional treatments/diagnostics (if necessary) discussed with the attending vet.
